Finished the circles for the big Rohirric sun on the shirt, now for the pointy things.
I've been sitting outside in the sun a lot to embroider. It's back to what a humid subtropical climate is really about. There's nothing like it.
I can get out of bed and lie on the floor and hear the sun singing down. My skin sticks to itself just enough to invoke touch-memory of beautiful afternoons and exultantly hardworking days in the air that hugs you all the time, and slides into droplets on the outside of your cup. The house smells different when it's this hot and slightly wet. It has its own sense-memory invocation. I really do love the heat, even the slightly-sore sunburn-turns-to-brown feeling after sitting outside near the beginning of it, before I adjust.
But there's a front coming tonight. It'll be back to the sixties tomorrow, and the fifties the day after. Well, I'll wait.
