We stopped in Littleton before getting to the apartment. We looked at my old house; the family who lives there now probably thought we were a little creepy. We went up to the old end of our street and parked, and walked through the woods to the pond where I learned to swim. It was beautiful, if full of mosquitoes. And then of course no stop in Littleton would be complete without a trip to Kimball's Ice Cream. I got a tiny watermelon sherbet (SO GOOD) and mama got coffee Heath Bar (also exceptionally good, though it dripped so much that I had to eat like a quarter of it while she was writing deposit slips at our MA-specific bank, of which there is one in Littleton, so we stopped and put checks in there). And we got a half-gallon of Black Raspberry to take home to the boys. Brent's already eaten two bowls (to be fair , so have I), but Tony seems to like his own ice cream better. Stargate time! And then I will probably fall asleep. But I was welcomed like a conquering hero.
