I managed to scrape the whole gang together this evening after recording with Reggie in the afternoon (and man by the way am I excited about that recording). Joodles, Reggie and I met Trevor at the Hobbit and had a Shireiffic dinner and teased the waitress. I love their tea and their quesadillas and their sandwiches and their deck and their lights. And Reggie and Joodles and Trevor. We then adjourned to Dan's after a stop by my house to ask my mom how to get there. The combination of barely-known-to-each-other realms of my friends was surprisingly easy; we sat on the deck and talked and played instruments. One by one they graciously departed: Reggie to homework and the rest of us moved inside and watched all the episodes of Sassy Gay Friend. Joodles to a friend's job-acquisition celebration a little after we started watching Girl Walks Into A Bar (and, sadly, right before the newly chilled creme brulée came out, which Dan promptly and properly singed with his new flamethrower {culinary blowtorch}, before the remaining three of us ate it like decadent hedonists). Trevor's morning stage combat lesson enforced a sort of bedtime, and he was my ride home.

It sure was good to see everybody.
