Rehearsal this morning (IN THE CATHEDRAL AAAH) was much more attentive, or Stephen was more demanding, or something. It was better. Even though we didn't get to sing Lay A Garland because we weren't good enough, there wasn't the same stress about it that there has been about other things.
And then we all piled into giant vans (or minibuses) and went to Dartmoor, which is an actual moor, and walked around in it for 3 hours with a guide and some dogs who knew the way. And lots of sheep. And some cows. And I told Martin I like him. Ahem. There was too much walking to sing until we reached the promontory of the ridge (which looked like someone built it, it was so picturesque), and then Stephen conducted us in Gift to be Simple. I hope we watch better tonight at Compline.
