The concert went well. B's mom videotaped it, so she now has blackmail footage of me doing suggestive things to B in a madrigal song (PDQ Bach, silly contemporary composer, wrote silly madrigals). It's called Two Hearts, Four Lips, Three Little Words, and it has silly words. Imagine me acting them, along with the rest of the 17 maddies who were there:
Two Hearts, Four Lips, Three Little Words combine
Two hearts, four arms that fain would intertwine
Two hearts, four ears filled with sweet whispered sighs
Two hearts, four eyes..... Nya nyanyanya FourEyes!
"Good lady fair, you surely know I jest;
Your glasses look just fine, [looks her up and down] as does the rest!"
"You mock me, sir, with cruel and childish games."
"I specially like the pointy purple frames."
The boundr'y twixt love and war is fine,
And lovers often cross the line;
The warrior knows that hate is where it's at,
For love can disappear [snap] like that!
Yes, love can disappear in nothing flat!
[jazz chord and flatline hands, snap, clap, opa! Greek linedance/cancan]
Tralala.... LA-a, LA-a [hips swing collectively]
Tis true, they say, since marriage did begin
That those who are left out want in;
Yet still, tis also truw, there is no doubt
That many who are in want out [jazz chord]
Let me out! [guys hold hands up like prison bars]

And thus it's been since the very first man and maid
Were driven from that sylvan glade
Your average man must shout and rattle his blade [some people do quote fingers]
The maid has got to be afraid [make sarcastic scaredy faces]
For man has always promised and betrayed,
And woman ever is dismayed;
She knows that she must blossom in the shade,
While he as her protector is portrayed;
He loves the blooms that round him are arrayed,;
But only till they start to fade;
And yet this game forever is replayed;
All lovers think they have it made;
What wisdom have we gained from this tirade?
And awful lot of words end in -ade.

In other, less encouraging news, I left the teacher reccommendation form at school that I was going to get from a teach this concert, and need to get it tomorrow before that audition I have for the HGO studio.
