Bryan called me from the library a couple hours after we dropped him there after we got him and took him to Shiva for lunch (I am still full). Turns out, the library was throwing away two biggish boxes full of Renaissance choral scores. It was hard carrying them home on my bike, even with Bryan to help, but they are now sorted and divided evenly between us (and I gave him all the borderline Baroque ones). Hee.
Dorien, a second cousin whom I have not seen for about ten years but was pretty close back in the day, is coming to Houston. We pick her up from the airport tonight, she stays here, and then tomorrow she has to get her passport checked and signed and a visa to Chile for her term abroad next semester. She's so cosmopolitan. She learned Spanish by immersion in LA, her mom lived in Iran and India, and she went to high school in India. And now she's studying in Chile. I should learn something.
