Well, this is exciting. I may just have been offered a really awesome copyediting gig. Onward and upward, career! I'm glad people seem to want to recommend me for those skills (thanks, Marty!). It's gone beyond proofing and feedingback people's senior theses and term papers (as well as the little ones during the year). Awhile ago a composer on the theory faculty thought of me when Stuart Hinds needed somebody to reduce the pomposity of an article he was trying to publish in a choral journal. He never got back to me about whether it went through the second time he submitted it, but he did pay me. This is less editorial than that, more just a proofing and awkward-English-alert job, but it's also longer and more remunerative. Huzzah!
