Yeah, I have too much work. Oh, well. I'll either do it, or I won't.

Dan's recital was this evening. He sure has come a long way. I'd like to think I would have if I hadn't been wrestling my larynx, but I sound a lot like freshman-me on the recording. Recording-engineer dude forgot to write down my recital for video, so there was no one at the camera, so I have no visual, but here's the audio. Yeah, that's singing over severe congestion and moderate laryngitis (which today has progressed to inability to phonate). But doesn't Ben sound awesome? Lemme know if you want the program.

Hair rehearsal. We're going to get there, I think.

I only wish I could sound half so lovely when perfectly healthy -- the evenness and technical control of your 'freshman' voice is maybe what I can achieve on an absolutely perfect day when everything is magically lined up and working great. Though I can hear that you're not well, your huge lush sound still comes through, so yay you.

And holy god, what a great program. You managed to hit a good four or five of those pieces that make me wish I were a soprano.
