That went surprisingly well. I was kinda struggling to get on the technique wagon during the first song, Ravel's Kaddish, which regrettably requires a boatload of technique in the exact range that disappeared off the face of the earth with this cold/laryngitis, but everything else went great, people loved it, and I was so distracted by being sick as a dog and trying to overcome it that I forgot to have nerves or fear of acting or trouble with the words. My beautimous collaborators outdid themselves, especially Ben, and enough people came to the reception that the food wasn't overkill. I'll still be eating chili for a week, but I'm okay with that.
I may have appeared rude at the reception, because I rushed off to the back of the house as soon as Joodles arrived so we could finally cut my hair. It was sooo time. Yayay. People were lovely and friendly and complimentary, despite the unfortunate respiratory condition that precluded my best.
It's really not that much of a relief to have it over with; now I have to think about all the homework and papers due before... soon. Speaking of which, French test tomorrow I should catch up for now.
