A lovely and not entirely unproductive or useless afternoon; I did a lot of lounging on the slate in the sun. It was back around 80 degrees, and my preferred level of humidity. I spent awhile on the phone with Nia, which was unusual and nice, and then got through the first 15 of Greenberg's universals of linguistic typology with reference to the Maori language, which was fairly enjoyable, for the beginning of a paper. And I only have to get through universal number 25 for Tuesday. Maori is an interesting language. Plus, hey, it lives in New Zealand, which makes me like it by default.
We had an extra rehearsal for the HSC Bernstein and Orff tonight, and though I am still rather congested I think it went okay. People told me they liked how I sounded, anyway, and I enjoy rehearsals of those pieces even when I don't get to sing things by myself, so it was fun.
I have to stop listening to the Joodles-song-in-progress, because I keep paying attention to it instead of doing what I'm supposed to be doing. I think it's pretty good, though.
