Biorhythm upswing time! Or maybe it's the weather. Or the surroundings. Or some combination of these elements. I am so glad the humid warmth has returned to my lovely, sticky city. The cicadas are starting to roar, and, though the sound is not inherently pleasing, it has such restful, freedom-hallowed summer associations for me that I feel better and more relaxed hearing it even in passing on my busy way somewhere. The construction across the street and behind our house (two separate projects) reminds me of sweet, obligationless days handing David nails or boards to be sawed, or making bundles out of rebar tie wires.
It may also be the (belated) penetration of outward appreciation through my rationalizing and preemptive neurosis. There are some people, relatively new people (as in, not Stephan or Dan), whom I like and want to spend time with, who have taken to volunteering to spend time with me. It's pretty fuzzy.
