We went to the Language Resource Center for the first time in French today, and the pronunciation/phonetics exercises are such fun I may go do them regularly. I like being good at something. I contributed more than I expected in Medieval, too, since I did the wrong reading, but he seems to like me. And it was about Carmina Burana, so I knew a little bit anyway.
Mama needed me to go with her to get the new (used) washer and dryer, since David is incapacitated and Grandjo can't help load appliances. The place was half an hour away, and they were painting the floor, so it was a unique experience. We brought them back and put them by the garage apartment, and installed them (with much screwing and unscrewing of hose caps and faucet handles) after I got back from my coaching.
Bob played through all the Schoenberg cabaret songs for me and I picked four I like better than the rest, and I may even try to fit the Debussy aria on my recital, too. New music to learn, but it's much of a different flavor than the rest of my recital. 'Twill be fun.
Stephan took me to Texadelphia before I had to go to Elixir chorus rehearsal, so I was well fortified before the Hair rehearsal that immediately followed it. We reviewed Aquarius, which sounds okay (there are things I want to fix, but they will be helped by having the band), and blocked it, and then reviewed Let the Sunshine In, and got both pretty much off-book. Things are progressing decently for a show that goes up in April, I guess, but I feel fairly useless.
