Yay, set construction! No, not Hair. I went to help Lovett's show put their stage together, because I like running the saws and drills. I forgot how satisfactorily exhausting it is, too.
Hair, though; Parker went out of town without telling us this weekend, so, needless to say he didn't show for the rehearsal at noon. I hung around with Stephan for a bit and then went to Scenes, which went better today, and then went out for Vietnamese sandwiches with quite a little troupe; Stephan, Dan, Sam, mama and I, and we picked up Joodles on the way (who, it turns out, got to see the first half of scenes before he had to go to studio).
We took some sandwiches back to Lovett for Paul, who had already started on set build. Then I really had to do some work, so I went to the library, but apparently I've done the wrong reading. Oops. Too late to fix it now. At least it was interesting. I'll read the ones I was supposed to read later. I needed a shower rather desperately by the end of my stint in the library (I needed one before that, but the library is on the way home; oh, hairspray, how the opera loves thee). So I took a shower and got out to find that they were requesting my stage-construction expertise. I'm looking forward to the Hair build, which will be small and simple.
Since I'm so much tireder than I would have been had I not exerted myself thoroughly on behalf of some power tools, maybe I'll get to sleep really quickly and not lie there thinking too much as I have been lately. Dreams?
