A real day out with the Dahlia Club; a Stephan experience I'd never had in our four years of rather close friendship, meeting his other friends (which is odd, as he's met and become friends with most of mine). We watched JCS with a bit of his tribe and had lovely dinner there, and then off to Grand Guignole, which I wasn't aware was still a thing besides in opera workshop theatre-history lectures, but this is LA, so of course it is. It was very good, actually (mostly). The first play in particular. And the background band (just fiddle and steel guitar) before the show were swingin'. I'd go again. And not just for the superlatively cute chorus boy that was somehow connected to Stephan's network so that he came out to talk to the people we were standing with after the show.
