Well, news from Jones, and yet still stress. I've been spending an unusual amount of time in the suite where I used to live, 464 central. Cat and Rebecca both live there, so we've been having production meetings aided by whatever delicious concoction Rebecca comes up with.

Juries went okay, I think, but apparently people really liked the Saint-Saens I did in Chorale on Monday, as several different people have told me numerous times. Maybe I should've sung that. It was a stressful evening, as Ben had a concert he was supposed to be preparing for during my jury, and they added a thing this year where they asked question about the music and text and composer instead of just letting you sing, and I looked not so smart, but it's over and I didn't care much then anyway and I went to go see Ben's Brahms quartet instead of going back to opera workshop. It was very good.

Posters and facebook group are up for Jones Hair auditions, but I already promised I'd run the vocal auditions for the Wiess show because they're having such a hard time finding people to music/vocal direct. They coincide exactly. I've instructed Stephan to record the Hair auditions, since those are the only days Ben can be there to play for them.

I must learn everything about Candide, write a 10-page Socioling paper about how rock singers all use Southern American accents, and start a 10-page Discourse paper about the "way to" construction by tomorrow. Luckily, tonight is my night to stay up all night.

I've been reintroduced to the music of my former pianist's band, Empire Alley, and obsessing over it a little bit. I have much feedback, generally in favor of keyboards and in (constructive, not malicious) criticism of everything else.

Oh, how I wish I were still at Jones to see Hair. Or be in it. Although Urinetown nearly killed me, so I'm not sure I could ever handle doing a show again.
