Whee. I had a week.
Rice rehearsal was good this afternoon. We're singing the Brahms Requiem (gorgeous, in a totally conventional, tonal way). Tom, as always, was hilarious. "Stick this note in an electric pencil sharpene and call it Jesus."
Last Saturday was State Audition. I made 10th of ten people admitted, last place in Treble choir. However, the patch is the same as for mixed, so I will live. I bombed both of my auditions, singing and reading, so I figure I'll do better next year.
Last entry was Tuesday, and last Tuesday night was pseudo-rehearsal. It was odd. Sops went in at 7:00 andd got sorted into a line, going from lighter to deeper timbre. I'm 9 of 47, in "cell 2". Bleh. And then, at 7:45, when it was the altos' turn, I went and spent the rest of the time talking to Fi. And learned some things about Salad. I was right. He has a fragile ego. Hmm.
