Well, it was better for awhile. I procrastinated, ate some Whole Foods Indian chicken (heavenly), read a little Wagner-related stuff, finished my book, and went to Ben's chamber concert, in which he was his usual godly and sensitive self, so that was a good idea. I then walked home, which was a slightly worse idea. The stupid weather has returned, so it was cold, and when I got there the kids were being dumb and the adults were sniping at each other to me behind each others' backs. I hate that.
I took David to Rosencrantz and Guildenstern tonight, and I'm glad I did, because he did a lot of theater (tech) when he was younger, and enjoyed the experience and dissecting it and making plans to write/design his own stuff. It helped that we'd talked about writing plays beforehand; I summarized Stephan's and my idea for the three criminals in a room with the guy with the one bullet in the gun. It also helped that the show fixed itself tonight; it was good again. Though I did notice more things I would have done differently.
Then we came home to more sniping. I beat it back to Stephan's on my bike, and things have been less tense, but it's always a drag to remember that people you like can have snippy fits with each other and put you in the middle.
