Despite the conspicuous lack of fatigue from work, it's been a moderately lazy afternoon. Work has been accomplished, but so has lounging and similar pursuits.
After missing two Structure of Englishes in a row, this morning's return to tangential linguistics lectures was amusing. Chemistry was dyes and textiles, so it held my interest (I think I'm going to do my paper on forging (not forgery, but blacksmithing). I gave Stephan weekend-salmon for lunch, and then played on the internet for a couple hours at his house before going to Latin, for which Bryan and I have decided to make a collaborative artistic effort at a diagram of Propertius I.20 depiction of the abduction of Hylas. Featuring a likeness of our classmate Keith (the absurdly beautiful, modest, and skilful executor of scansion and translation) as Hylas. :D
There was a fun and awkward little Latin party following class with a guest from Kincaid trying to explain how to go about becoming a high school Latin teacher and what it's like, for prospectives. Bryan and I went for the pomegranate soda and the pleasure of Dr. Mackie's company (the guest was one of the most awkward people I've ever seen, and that's saying something, considering the musicology faculty at Shepherd).
And now we're all at Stephan's house finishing our Tonal Counterpoint inventions that are due tomorrow. Bryan looked mine over and said that aside from a sequence and a couple of cadences, the rest of it rocks hard. So I fixed those and am now done, and I'm about to go to Shepherd for the makeup/hair call of the opera and try my gel that goes to eleven.
I shall break as many legs as I can, before you ask. Opening night! And I'm not tired yet.
