Grandjo got the chest tube out! She's coming home tomorrow morning (I'll probably not be there, as it'll be early and I'll still be here at Stephan's, since though Laura and her kids and Lisa and Eric went to Missouri, my house is still overfull). I took the remaining Wurmys for a walk around campus this afternoon for about two hours and showed them the pretty architecture and trees, and they seemed to like it. Gene got tired because he has amazingly flat feet (his footprints are literally broader at the arch than at the ball and heel), but he didn't complain and we went from my house to Jones through the Sallyport and all the way to Shepherd with many zigzags before taking the bus to Keck and walking back home. So I could lie down for a very long time now.
Then Kim got back so I went to Stephan's after picking mama up from the hospital. Stephan becomes his metaself around Kim, the one bent on maintaining a spectacle, entertaining, impressing. We watched Bat Boy, and I think we may have kept from scaring her beyond all reason, as she seemed to be having fun. I am still sad that's over. And then we West Wing Piloted her, and she definitely enjoyed that. Wing1!
As for yesterday, well, that was fun too. There's been Ihop or Goode Co. or something out for breakfast every morning since I've been sleeping here, which is nice. The evening, though, took the cake. I went home to restock and get to the hospital in a group and let Stephan write a paper. Mama was about to crash when we got back from the hospital, so I called to see if Stephan could bring me back. I've never been sexiled before. Interesting experience.
