I don't know whether I mentioned the Baltic Voices cd I ordered came... thus, one more volley. I'm thinking I come off a little obsessive. That's okay. I am a little obsessive.
The Baltic Voices disc arrived a couple days ago, and though of course I prefer your performance, it is interesting to hear the difference in interpretation... It's a lovely recording, and I hadn't heard several of the pieces on it. Thank you for recommending it. However, they don't have any copyright info on the Kreek Psalms in their jacket. I'm not finding any anywhere online, either. I don't mean to bother you about it, but if you ever come across any information regarding what's allowed, or where to find the music, I'd love it if you'd pass it on to me. I'm studying linguistics, and I'm going to be in eastern Europe over the summer, so I might even be able to get to Estonia. Oh, the lengths to which I'd go :)
Thanks so much again for the recommendation.

Hi - I promise I'll keep a lookout to see what I can find out. I'll also email our PRS adviser to see what he recommends.
The Baltic Voices disc is great - everything is slower but you'd expect that with such a big choir. I think it's good to have more than one recording of music you like, otherwise you end up liking the interpretation more than the music itself.
Good luck!

Thank you very much. And I agree about the recordings; I must have at least six each of the Rachmaninoff Vespers and the Faure Requiem. I love hearing the differences.
