The sewing tutorial was really not unpleasant in the least, despite the fact that it was the infamous Trish Rigdon who ran it. I managed to learn all about the intricacies and idiosyncracies of the Hamman Hall breakers and how many of what can be plugged into which plugs at once, what grain and bias are, how to use tracing paper and wheels, how to thread a serger, serge, how to thread a sewing machine, how to use one, and how to tie the wrong sides off so the right side is perfect. I ended up with a fairly hopeless airplane pillowcase, but the sewing machine in the garage apartment no longer intimidates me, so beware of my increased potential for creation.
