After a pleasant night, I woke up and had a pleasant conversation with Bryan over his breakfast, and took a pleasant walk home through the results of the thunderstorm sauna. There were all manner of miniature lakes to wade through, dunes of drifted sand from construction sites to sink luxuriously into, flats of clay-over-concrete from eroded lawns that squelched and slid deliciously, all with an intermittent boisterous breeze shaking drops from the ginger leaves and the elephant ears and the sagos and the liveoaks overhead.
Once home, I biked to the library to return some books, and ended up with a cookie from Catherine, who was working there. I think it's going to be a good day.
We should get some pumpkins. It's been too long since I've carved one.
