I got home at 5:30, and went to brush my teeth, but was interrupted by a rather metronomic sound coming from the toilet stall. I looked over and, lo and behold, the floor was on its way to a decent state of floodedness. The light fixture was drooling very consistently. I, in a state of near-catatonic indifference, notified mama and went to sleep.
It was still dripping when I went to class, but there is a bucket there to catch it. It's the heater tray overflowing because the drainpipe's clogged again, I bet. I don't really want to go up in the attic and look, since that involves much more rearrangement of furniture than I have the energy for at the moment, and it'd be interesting if a stalactite grew on my bathroom ceiling.
Bryan greeted me with enthusiastic gratitude this morning, and with the appellation Editrix Eagle Eyes, so apparently my mad proofing skillz have made an impression on him. I managed to take decent notes in class, but I am not sure how I'll get by in Opera workshop this afternoon, since I'm supposedly coaching on the Bell Song. I'd like to sleep now, but practicing would be better. But so would sleep.
It says a lot for my state of mind right now that I'm considering doing NaNoWriMo this semester.
