There's a feeling of invincibility that comes of filling your bike tires after lurching around on flats all summer. You can go anywhere! As fast as you want! With no effort! I passed the Jones O-week parade on my way home from half an hour at the Thresher office, and being hailed by a member of my own O-week group as he leads the parade was kind of a nice bonus.
My schedule is also invincible, despite the D3 I needed being cancelled. I have 3 Ling classes instead, and am going to make progress toward an actual Ling major! A class with Michel Achard, huzzah! It'll be a lot of work, especially if I make it into the show this semester, but I prefer to get myself into mountains of work and complain about it later, rather than consider my options and take action accordingly.
