We're doing some cool stuff and some stuff that's just there. So far my favorite is a Gene Puerling arrangement of Indian Summer, the melody of which I do not know, but it's got fantastically lush jazz chords. And there's a 19th-century Renaissance retro madrigal with mouth-watering suspensions. And a kind of pointless (though containing abundant lovely dissonances that make everyone think we don't have the right notes) contemporary six-part treble church piece.
I'm saving my Piazzolla for after the weekend, when there will be more time.
