A measure of slightly panicked discontent has settled over me. I haven't worked enough on the transcription/arrangement, and I may not finish it in time to go to Smith, which would really suck because I really want to sing it. I didn't clip Prince's feet while mama was gone because he started trembling when I call him, and that's a sign of either fear or raging insubordination, neither of which I want to deal with while trying to hold his feet still. So mama's ticked (she doesn't think that's a good enough reason), and we're leaving tomorrow morning, and, while I'm packed, I'm not sure what to bring to do since I can't bring pliers on the plane so chainmail's out, I only have one book I feel like reading, and my sketchbooks all seem lazy.

Gra. And I'm stuck on the first chorus of the Piazzolla; I can't figure out what the chord is. I think it's some kind of crazy secondary dominant, but when I put down the individual parts I hear, they don't sound like the right chord. RRRR.

How much is awhile? I don't get back till 10:30 at night on the 9th of August, and, if things go as I want them to, we'll be driving to LA right after that to spend a week or so at Stephan's house. If we can get the vehicle issues resolved. At the moment we're not sure we have a car to go in. But if we can find one, you should come with us! Aw. I mean, you should come, but it seems unlikely that you'd be able to.

I'm not leaving again until September 17th, but in the meantime I'm spending irritating amounts of time in doctor appointments so I definitely can't come with you. I already have a 10th and 17th appointment (probably more coming) and food is hard. But I'm sure I'll see you when you get back from that.
