Smith is from July 28-August 5. I am in Maine after that, till I get back 10:25 pm August 9. If I pack before I leave (or if I pack that night and someone else drives in the morning), we can drive out of here on the 10th. Is that good? Where, besides our end destination, do we want to go? Grand Canyon? Vegas? Do we want to make stops on the way or on the way back? Tell me something.

1: Start out going NORTH on CHEROKEE ST toward BISSONNET ST.
2: Turn LEFT onto BISSONNET ST.
3: Turn RIGHT onto S SHEPHERD DR.
4: Turn LEFT onto SOUTHWEST FWY.
5: Merge onto US-59 S.
6: Merge onto I-610 N.
7: Take the exit toward I-10 / MEMORIAL.
8: Merge onto I-10 W via the exit on the LEFT.
Keep LEFT to take I-10 W toward SANTA MONICA.
9: Take the CLOVERFIELD BLVD exit.
10: Turn RIGHT onto CLOVERFIELD BLVD.
11: Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto 26TH ST. Pass through 1 roundabout.
12: Turn LEFT onto SAN VICENTE BLVD.
13: Turn LEFT onto 19TH ST.
14: End at 224 19th St
Santa Monica, CA 90402-2408, US

Tonight is piano rehearsal. Thus, I hope we have Miracle Pianist. I wonder what the conductor's like? Maybe I should warm up before we go. Ergh. I just woke up half an hour ago. Remind me not to stay up all night and then sleep all day if I have something to do in the evening. Unless it's work. Cause that's just fun.

Leaving on the 10th would be good because UNT starts on the 28th and I want to move in a little earlier, so leaving asap would give us the most time.

As for stops, we will probably be more capable of handling long drives at first, so I think more stops should be figured in for the way back… it would also be nice to have different routes going there and coming back. But stops are a must.

As for who drives first, I'd be happy to man the wheel the first several hours. And concerns what stops, anything would be amazing since I've never been to Vegas, the Grand Canyon, or anything thatdirectionly (and I don't think Reggie has either).

I vote for the stops being on the way back, too. Vegas is awesome, and kinda on the way (over the mountains, but that's livable). The Grand Canyon is also awesome, because it's... well, grand. I bet if we go down in it we can improvise something with echoes.

Stephan's back here the 28th, so we would leave before that anyway.

Wonderful. Now we have less than a month to resolve our transportation issues and we are perfect! As I have said, "my" car is available as a default but I don't think it is a reliable possibility per parents, so we need at least one other possibility lined up.

I'll work on my mom for the van, but it isn't a likely scenario. Despite the sucky mileage, I think Reggie's car is the most plausible.

Are you going to Smith College? I have several friends who attend it, including an ex-girlfriend.

Yes, but for an a capella workshop with the Western Wind, not to actually attend the college. I doubt any real students will be there.
