Joy and Steve showed up this morning, and David and Grandjo showed up this midday. It was a gladitorial discussion when Stephan and his dad showed up, but David hadn't finished wiping the floor with Stephan over the immigration question before it was time to take them to the airport. Stephan's dad mostly agreed with us (Andy, David, Grandjo, mama, me), but occasionally had to defend him on the principle that he was family. It was an entertaining match.
We gave David and Grandjo the presents we got them from Neuschwanstein, and Grandjo's elephant footstool for mother's day. They seemed pleased, and David agrees we should build a forge. Grandjo brought a pork roast, so we had that and potatoes and stuff for dinner, and then I made cookies. They were impressed, which is gratifying; Grandjo gave me the cookie book I got the recipe from.
Why am I still jetlagged? I could crash right now, but I hate to when everybody's here.
Okay, Andrew, when shall we have our marathon?
