I wish there were such a thing as an all-day chiropractic appointment. Or a 12-hour massage. It was good, anyway. She messed with my crazy foot, and now it's less stiff and more crackly.
Angelique's recital was very very interesting and entertaining, despite the fact that the inane HSC rehearsal went fifteen minutes overtime and I was late to the recital and missed the first piece. Her titles were especially amusing; there was a Kindof Quartetish, with movements such as Scherzoesque and Perhaps Conclusive.
The only place to go after that was of course Stephan's, for he is leaving on a jet plane tomorrow. I shall miss him. But he will return. As will I, from Germany. After I go, I mean. Yes. We watched the Ruling Class again, trying to get Ben to watch it (his girlfriend was too drunk for him to pay attention; odd how it works that way, but it does) and failing. Ah, well. At least Stephan and I were properly appreciative of the work of genius that is that film. And then we sang boisterously all the way back here, and I watched the freakiest House I've ever seen.
Can you tell that tonight's ep really freaked me out? Because it did. I am freaked. I don't know if I'll ever sleep or eat food or look at pigeons again. Hopefully tomorrow no one will die.
The esteemed and prickly doctor looks damn good with a gun, though. Even using it to shoot dead people.

After reading your reference to me (however small), I feel the urge to respond for the sake of clarification because your entry seemed to suggest annoyance because of me. I don't get drunk very often, and I'm sorry that you had to witness one of those few times and I'm sorry that it inconvenienced your and Stephan's plans for Ben that night- but I actually don't see Ben very much at all outside of classes, and my recital had been the day before, so I really had not seen much of him for much of the month preceding (especially considering that he had a recital a few days before mine). So probably the reason that he actually paid attention to me and not the entirety of the movie (besides the fact that I am, after all, his girlfriend) was that we actually had planned the evening to spend with each other, for the first time in at least a few weeks. Having missed all three of the post-recital parties that Ben was able to enjoy after his recital, and having hardly drunk anything at my own reception because I had to take care of everyone else and clean up afterwards, I decided that that night was one of my last opportunities to have a little fun, because I still have a calculus final and two more performances next week.
Hopefully -if the annoyance I sensed from your post actually existed- this will help clarify what was going on that night. I don't mean any offense by this message, but I am very self-concious of what others think of me, and decided to for once address something that bothered me. So again, I'm sorry that you had to see me drunk and that I made your evening less enjoyable.

Good luck with your remaining finals and performances, Lynn. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings.
