The Stealing of the Andrew was a profitable endeavor, and an enjoyable one. Though my foot seems to have issues with the walk to the MFAH and back. Stephan's house had another party till 5 in the morning, and so I'm doubly exhausted. I had to have a shower before anything else in the day, so I went home and told him to call me when something happens. Meanwhile, obsession.

Hey Ry, its Melanie. I'm glad you still have the same username...my lj blog was quite shortlived, but I'm not one for consistency. Looks like you've been doing good. Things are good with me, I've been busier than ever. I moved to ALaska for two months last semester; it was cold with lots of moose and bears. Then in January I started working as a Nurses' Assistant at Methodist Hospital close to Rice. It looks like I'll be moving to Scranton, Ny about this time next year - that means I need to be practicing my "howdy yall" to impress those damn yankees, wouldn't want to disappoint...so, I've got a q for u. DO you happen to know of any good voice teachers who do the college competitions? The ones at San Jac are poopy and I just figured, you know people. So if you have a suggestion, please do tell. My connections outside of Rice are rather nonexistent, I'm afraid. My teacher just retired, and my new teacher is from Chicago, so I'm afraid I can't help you there. I can ask around, though. I'll tell you if I come up with something.

I never had a column; I still copyedit Wednesday nights, as I have for two years. Still no plans for after graduation, unless by a fluke I turn out to be a performer of some kind.

I'll be in touch about the voice teachers if I find anything.
