I went to the library this morning around 11 (followed by the little dog, of course, since he was outside), only to discover that it doesn't open till noon on Sundays. Bryan was waiting around, too. We got accosted and overrun by obnoxious high school students on some kind of field trip to learn what a library was (I'm not kidding; that's what their in-charge lady was explaining).

Adding to the excitement, later a middle-aged guy with a video camera and a boy with a lip piercing and a boom mic who appeared to be his son interviewed us (separately) for a Religious Studies poll or something. I was amused; there were questions like "What do you think is the purpose of human life?" and "What is your conception of God?" and "What do you think is the role of the Church in the 21st century?" He may have been taken aback by some of my answers, but it was kind of fun.

Bryan likes the little dog. The little dog is less enamored of Bryan; he kept trying to climb in my lap and lick my ear to get away from Bryan. I had a time convincing Bryan he's not my dog (the dog would never believe it). Oddly enough, as we were talking, the subject of housing came up, and since all his roommates are leaving next year, he has no place to live. He asked if I had a basement or an attic or something. I told him I'd ask mama about someone renting the garage apartment. That'd certainly be different. Mama said only if we finish putting the second story on before next semester (I don't think it's going to happen, but she seems to think it could).

Eventually the library opened, but all my motivation to burn the listenings for the next history and theory had gone by then, so I just returned some books and went home. For some reason I feel strangely unfulfilled today, even though I got a Logic homework and a History reading done waiting for the library to open. I don't know what's missing. Maybe I'll watch Stephan's Bat Boy again. It sort of seems like the thing to do after listening to all of the Mesple Lakme.
