I'm so lame. I'm going to crash right now and do Ling and History homework in the morning.

Concert was amazing (except the nosebleed), lesson was amazing (thanks, amazing pianist!), set work was surprisingly fun (yay for seam-rippers to make stripper pants), Chapultepec is always awesome.

ETA (9:02pm): Fine. I'll relinquish my lameness for a little while, because Nabil's in town and he just called me to ask if I wanted to go to the same thing that my cast is going to, the Basquiat party at MFAH. I hope I don't regret this, but I can't say no.

ETA2 (10:47pm): Bwaha, I don't regret it at all. We couldn't find a parking spot, so Nabil parked back at my house, and we took a pleasant walk to the Montrose-Bissonnet intersection, discovering on our walk, by phone to our respective friends with information, how to get in and which line to join. I stood with him till we got to the end of the line, by which point my essential lameness took over and I became certain I didn't really want to get in, despite my ID that would have allowed me to skip the line and get free Starbucks. The place looked sardinial and loud, and old-school hip-hop's not my gig, especially with the biggest crowd of emo people I've ever seen. Plus, there was too much smoke in the line upwind of us. But it was a lovely time with Nabil, nonetheless, and I ran into the most random collection of people in front of that museum. Parker the PVA bassist stood in line with us for awhile and made small talk. I went past the General Admission line to start walking home, and Salad hailed me from it, standing with Kim. I talked to him for a few mimnutes (he may come to Bat Boy opening night, if he's back from Louisiana by then). And then I walked home, and now I am crashing no matter what. I mean, unless someone else calls and I decide not to. Altogether, an extremely interesting evening.
