Sweet wounded Jesus!
I just sang through my next Faure project in the kitchen in between bites of food, and then in between sips of tea, and then several times after I finished my meal, and, having started on the right note every time, managed to go a whole-step sharp due to excessive energy and expression. The piece climaxes on a B. I've been consistently hitting an ecstatic high C# for the last half hour, after keeping on-breath and correctly resonant throughout a difficult song. Why can't I do things this well during studio or in performance? Maybe this song is just really good for me. It's so easy to express, just like Silent Noon was, but it's in a much more consistent part of my range. Whoo!
Runnnnthroooough ahhhhh energy time.
