Whoa.

Rehearsal rocked, and before that studio with Dr. Farwell rocked, and then there was a small plan that Dan and Stephan (who came to watch rehearsal) and I would go get food instead of going to Milam to drink. I invited Diego, and it turned out everyone wanted food, so we all hit Mai's before Milam. Some of us before others, due to interesting directions. :)

And then there was Milam, at which there was much cast bonding and rejoicing upon Hayley's bed. More people talked to me than is the norm at parties. It was interesting. And then, as I was thinking perhaps life was winding down, so I should go to Salad's dig, lo! Dan wanted to follow somebody's car to the other party in the Heights for which the Milam one was a pre-party. And so I went with him, and Stephan came, too. It was the kind of drink-smoke-and-dance party that isn't really my gig, but it was fun anyway. People talked to me there, too. I dunno what was up with that. We ran into Chris, Stephan's housemate, which was odd, because we rarely see him outside the house. It was his kind of party.

There was more cast bonding that I apparently missed the more dramatic moments of, due to being inside on the marvelous leather couch taking a break from the smoke. But people came and sat down and talked to me anyway, which was a trip and a workout of my social skills and conversational talent (or lack thereof). That never happens. I felt the love. And then I noticed there was a gaslamp outside with a lovely paper-thin flame, so I looked at that for awhile and resisted the best efforts of people to get me to dance. They played Jump, but I had the fire.

Eventually (2ish?) our people went back to Milam, and I kind of dozed on the very cool tiny spiral staircase outside the kitchen where everybody was hanging out, until Dan's car left. He took me to Salad's first, where five people were still awake and three left shortly after I got there. I had an interesting conversation with a plastered guy trying to do an Italian accent and whose name I couldn't determine from the two times he said it. Starts with an L. But he analyzed my personality and ability to succeed in life based on my horoscope and zodiac, and then told me how the world works and where we're all going because when you get down to basics we're all made of hydrogen. Yeah. Then he went to bed, and Salad and I talked some more, and then I crashed on Salad's couch. It was a fun night.

Why, thank you. It's less impressive when you consider my tolerance for disruption of sleep schedule; I work the 11pm-5am (formerly 1am-7am) Wednesday/Thursday shift at the Thresher.
