It's amazing how easily Charles can suck the fun out of a rehearsal of even the most fun music. I mean, the Verdi Requiem. Come on. And it was even less fun because the glue that has coated my respiratory system since school got out was interfering with my range above the staff. Luckily, the party after rehearsal was better. Quite a crowd showed up. Nice to see them again.

That's what comes of having 9 blood aunts and uncles, 21 first cousins, 56 second cousins, and a grandmother all on one side that know you fairly well (except for the orange purse cousin). My dad's side sent me a box with a stuffed animal, candy canes and dishtowels in it.
