We spent the morning casing churches; St. Paul, First Prez, Palmer, and St. Vincent were all open enough to look in, though only Palmer would have been plausible for improv without being caught. We also went to Rice Baptist Temple and would have been able to sneak in at least to look at their stained glass, but the lady was at the door paying the pizza delivery boy, so we had to ask her if we could see the sanctuary. She said no, there was a piano lesson.
So we came back, looked up Indian restaurants, walked to one in the Village, lamented the Village's propensity to close down at 2:00, went to a Chinese restaurant instead, walked back, and got Victoria to go with us on the train to the Angelika to see a movie to mock. Pride and Prejudice is eminently mockable. And it counts as research for their underground revolution.
The improv when we got back was quite solstice-appropriate, I think. I've had a lovely shortest day, and am looking forward to the longest night.
