Madrigal dinners are such fun. I guess it's the feeling of long tradition; most of us have done it at least once before, and we make affectionate fun of the ones who haven't. The rehearsal yesterday around the piano as Tom played us intros and postludes and we were godly, boisterous, and comradely. God rest us, merry gentlemen. Dress rehearsal is in Cohen House, the faculty restaurant, at 1:00. I love these things. I may be young and naive, but I don't see how you could ever get tired of them if you liked the people you're doing them with.

Brel is going to be so hard. And so easy. Right kind of theater. There are four kinds of theater I could do next semester, which is an inundation of opportunities. There's Brel, which I'm doing no matter what, there's Bat Boy, which could be SUCH fun, there's the opera, which I'm less and less enthusiastic about (for one thing, it's Baroque; for another, it's chorus again, which is fun but a lot of work for the amount of reward), and there's the G&S show Ruddigore, which is the least likely of the four. Its performances coincide exactly with the opera, and though it'd be fun, I think Bat Boy would be more fun.

In any case, I am working to remedy my theatrical withdrawal. With shows that will be hopefully less amateur than La Cage was. Not that La Cage wasn't fantastic for what it was. Man, I am so looking forward to next semester.

I love them so much. I am excited for tonight, even though I had a coughing fit in my lesson (no worries; cough suppressant medicine now). Kathy said, "Store some lozenges in your bodice tonight."

Thanks for putting the photos on facebook. :)
