Bennigan's was, as are all things with a 25-person party of theater people, very silly. There was much flirting with the waiter, Patrick, especially by the straight boys. Joe, a gay pianist who helped produce the show, refused to hit on him, so I called him a homophobe. There was much bad joking and sneaking of fries and slurping of ice cream. And Patrick was able to split the check perfectly. I was impressed. Since Joe left separately, there was room for me to ride home in the car of a techie named Brenton (who had given me tremendously sincere compliments the night before). So all the people in that car now know the location of my house. I await many stalkers.
Tallis Symposium is today. Well, it started on Thursday, but the part I get to sing in is today. Tom jacked a few people from Chorale together to practice a few times and go downtown from his office. We're doing a Salvator Mundi that is particularly gorgeous, and it's nice to sing the occasional low E in non-rock music. And that's the first alto part. We'll see how the thingy goes; we're performing for the most famous Tallis scholar in the world to give us feedback.
