Once again, it was proven that an unprepared pianist can ruin a show. It's college theater, so no one expected it to be good, but it really could be if people could hear their notes at the beginnings of songs so they come in in a key that is at least related to that the piano's playing in. I'm going to beg Ben (I have instructions to offer him sexual favors from the entire cast) to play next weekend. Not only can he read music well, he can read it LOUDLY and with more than just the repeating tonic-dominant in the bass. It would improve the show by leaps and bounds.
It's odd hhow this is more important to me than my Baroque paper, huh? Well, I finished it. People I know came to the show tonight. They liked it, but agreed I should ask Ben. So I will do that.
They all went to Bennigan's. I might, too, after I take a much-needed shower. Or I might sleep.
