That was a long rehearsal. 2-whenever we're done ended up being 7:30. I forgot less than half of my very few lines, shimmied like a born drag queen, ownzored my restaurant in a flourescent two-tone pink shirt and silk pajamas, was spontaneously danced with by the plain homosexual (second lead, viola freshman Tony), and did not fall down at any time.

I can't tell if this show is going to be irredeemably lame or just over the edge of acceptable theater, because although no one knows what's going on at this point, the drag is funny, the love story is sweet, and some of the leads have amazing comic timing.

Stephan and I have had an ambition for awhile to do put together the show Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris, and take it all over campus, a different place every night. It takes only four people and a small band, but they have to be pretty intense people. So there would be Stephan, me, another boy and another girl. I asked Tony the violist if he'd be interested in doing another show next semester, but he's having freshman omgIhavesomuchlesstimethanIthought reaction to his first semester, so we'll see if he calms down later. He'd do well; I'll be persistent. I have no idea who to look for for another girl. It's a very intense and difficult show, composed entirely of songs with no dialogue. It'd be like an underground cult hit if we did it at all well.

Meanwhile, I have to get through the shows I'm doing now. And write a couple papers this weekend. I hate pre-paper stress. Somehow, no matter how easy it is for me to write, there's always an undeserved little worry-knot in my stomach if I haven't done the work. Urgh. And one of them is in German.
