People are so weird.
I made Latin class cookies for their test again today. So I sat on the black couches and waited for Jonesy and Bryan to bring me the leftovers, and talked to Tom Conroy, who is one of the idols of the music dork world (Stephan, Bryan, me (and I met his ex-boyfriend at the Western Wind! I win!), Lauren, Meghan, everyone in my class, really) about La Cage. He was in a production of it in upstate New York, and he had some fantastic ideas, but I couldn't help geeking out a little bit that he was willing to tell ME about them. And then I talked to Sean, my pianist, about shows, and distributed leftover cookies. Sean and Meghan were play-flirting, and I don't really understand how it works, but it was entertaining to watch.
I declared the rest of the cookies available at the end of chorale, and they were gone pretty quickly. All the upperclassmen and grad students I'm intimidated to talk to ate one. I felt special.
Last dress rehearsal tonight, before the opera opens the 26th. This will be the last time I plug it, I promise. It's $8 for students and $10 for general admission, and it runs the 26th, 28th, 30th, and November 1st. Come see it if only for the really good drag (he wings well, too). And I wear a negligee and a blonde wig; that should have some novelty value.
