Dan and I studied at Sid until about 2, and we were thoroughly prepared on the listening bits and the short answers. I think, however, that I picked the wrong essay question to answer. The use of cantus firmus in German compositions of the 17th century required a lot of filler sentences to get to 6 paragraphs, and I would have done better to explain the origins and social context of the oratorio.
Ah, well. Next class is Latin, and it will be fun, and then is studio, which is also fun. It's too cold right now; the front came in, and now I need a jacket.
