So far my birthday has consisted:
slightly disappointedly of nothing at school (I hate to care that Bryan didn't remember),
amusedly of an o-week lunch of super happy funcakes convened especially for me,
and happily at home of magnolia-scented review for my Baroque History Test o'DOOM (TM) which is on Friday and viewing of the extra features on the season 1 and 2 WW DVDs mama gave me this morning.
Mama gave me a bike yesterday, which I have used extensively, and while my butt is sore from disuse, it is good to know I now have a means of transportation besides my feet. I mean, I had a bike before, but it was definitely not in the best shape and missing essential components. Now I can go fast. Ten more minutes of sleep in the morning.
In any case, there will not be much sleep forthcoming tonight. I am double-booked this evening with HSC and opera rehearsals; I'm going to U of H at 7 for HSC, back to Rice for opera at 9, then to Katz's when rehearsal's over for late birthday dinnerness with Cherie, Andrew and whoever else shows up. Yes, everyone, that is an invitation, if you feel like Katzing. They have good Cobb salads, and my mom's bringing a pie for my cake. I think I'll be too full for cheesecake, and I want to save that for when those who truly appreciate it are present.
Anyway, not so bad, despite my small amount of pouting this morning. Early Baroque is much better than later Baroque, cause it's still fairly Renaissance. And the candle smells good.
