There's ice in a chest, the icemaker is continuing its work, the porch is empty, we've eaten almost all the perishable stuff out of the fridge, the cats are all inside, and Rita is going to make landfall on the TX/LA border. We're so overprepared that it left, and now all we're going to get are tropical storm winds and a few inches of rain. Big whoop. It stopped sprinkling hours ago, and it is still not blowing very hard. I want the electricity to go out so I can light a bunch of candles and write music with a quill.
