A shower is really satisfying when you're very dirty. I mean, with dirt. Like, from the ground.
I guess I must be some kind of subterranean or mountain-dwelling dragon/cat. I lay under the house in one of the tunnels for the first time, and immediately felt home-ish. Designs for my future house were immediately modified to include a labyrinth of stone or tiled tunnels with hidden caches in the wall for hoards and backup hoards and tiny refrigerators. And mystic Ailurian inscriptions on the walls that say "to the kitchen" or "my room". I really like the enclosed feeling of a tunnel or a cave. And yet, I love the open feeling of vaulted ceilings or the wide sky. The dark is great, and feel utterly comfortable, especially enclosed, but the sun and all its connotations are beautiful and mystical to me. As is the moon. I guess I'm adaptable, hey? I love the feel of the desert and independence and self-sufficiency, but the lushness and bounty of a forest (at least to those who know its denizens) is also attractive. And then there's my fondness for the luxurious castle-type grand edifice. With nooks and crannies. Like tunnels or caves. And secretive night-type hidingness. And serpents, with jewels. How confused am I?
