Moderate happiness... Mama bought me an Yma Sumac cd (strange in a good way) and we finally went to the Houston Craft Center and signed up fo the classes I'm gonna take; Metalworking mornings Monday, Wednesday and Friday, Glassworking mornings Tuesday and Thursday, the art of dyeing in afternoons after metal, messing with clay afternoons after glass. All on all, it would have cost something like 500 dollars, if there wasn't a deal where you could take a full week of classes for $295. I'm excited. I like metal. And glass. They had some cool jewelry and sculptures and stuff in their lil store/gallery thingies. There was one hallway with gorgeous holographic glass, leaves and shells and faces and abstract stuff, all in metallic green and blue and purple... gorgeous. Yes. And there were ideas in the store: crocheted wire jewelry. Interesting.
On the other side of the emotional spectrum, I have a splinter in my right middle fingertip that's making it quite slow, typing. Oww. I chopped off a bunch of the finger with nail clippers trying to dig it out, but I can't find it and it's still in there. And I have the hiccups, too. Guck.
