First verse and a half of Led Zeppelin's That's the Way down in Sibelius for six-part a capella, and I have a plan for the rest, so it's not just direct transcription.

Elfwood ticket finally went through, but these days they're deleting on account of quality; Samdil didn't go through. Oh well, time for another ticket.

And I STILL finished my Latin homework. Mostly. And I don't really need to read for History or Theory.

They talked last night after rehearsal (of a very interesting Randall Thompson piece called Peacable Kingdom for the cd) about people's lives and what they'll do and many things. Ian was explaining on how he decides whether people are glory hounds or not, and he said it was too early to tell about me. Apparently I have become somewhat of a diva; this is unacceptable to me, and if you catch me in it and tell me, I will thank you and stop. He said that my musicality limits my options in life. Salad agreed, and he said that "someone who is as talented at as many different things as you are is going to have a hard time figuring out what to do for a living," and explained how he picked.

I truly do not want to pick one thing, but they assure me if I do more than one they will interfere with each other. Whatever happened to Renaissance men? I can't deny that music is taking over my life, and I don't mind, as long as I can still sell the occasional aran or sketch or painting or table and write the occasional book or linguistics paper. I can't imagine not being completely involved in music; if I chose to be an editor and an editor only for a profession, that would make me an amateur musician, and for some reason that concept is abhorrent to me.

And yesterday I saw you kissing tiny flowers, but all that lives is born to die
And so I say to you that nothing really matters, and all you do is stand and cry
I don't know what to say about it, when all your ears have turned away
But now's the time to look and look again at what you see: is that the way it ought to stay?
