Rehearsal downtown with orchestra, friendly rehearsal with Sean (I sat in the practice room for half an hour after we were done together, to listen to him frantically memorizing Rach Paganini Variations), get in the car with mama and she gives me a box.
Sooooo much joy. so much ahhh
Guess what came in the mail today?
They had sent a postcard saying they wouldn't come till the middle of March.
I am much with the joying.
They're like leather socks with alpaca wool lining. And copper buttons to tie leather strings in complicated knots over.
And then I hung out with Ben and Stephan and we ordered pizza cause there are no Chinese places open this late. We listened to stuff, read stuff, and eventually went down to the piano and Ben read all the Bach chorales and then played excerpts from every Rach piece I have ever heard and some I haven't, and some Poulenc and some Chopin and some Ravel, and then I decided our theory test at 9 is not so crucial, but maybe some sleep would be good.
