Hurrah, for Anne McCaffrey has lifted the fanfic/art ban! I celebrate. Also, my time with the paper tablecloths at whatever that restaurant was not wasted. I inverted it, too.
oh shit
ryan
i wish you were here to argue my dad down about grammar
oh dear. what did he say?
he says that "ordering pizza for sara and me" is incoreect and that it is always sara and i
NOT TRUE AHHHH
and hes shouting
I KNOW
HYPERCORRECTION
write him an email!!!!
to me
ill forward it
lol
"Sara and me" is gramatically correct, socially acceptable, the way one would say it to be pc and gc is "for myself and Sara"
or "Sara and myself," because it's reflexive if you're ordering it
ok i told him, "ryan says:"
and he was like
well well, ITS DIFERANT IN ENGLAND
LOL
NO, IT'S NOT
ahhhhhh
"for ---- and I" is never correct because "I" is nominative, no matter where you live, and "for" is a preposition, no matter where you live, and you cannot have the object of a preposition be nominative in English, no matter where you live
lol
*worships*
it's really quite simple
now, it's only "Sara and myself" if it's "I" who am ordering the pizza cause that's the only way it can be reflexive
people make mistakes with the reflexive too and it bothers me... sorry, I'll stop
