Then probably no... you should read Bulgakov then... its great... you study Russian, don't you? If you do, than it'd give a great understanding of Russian mentality, ideology and the way of thinking - such a national character. IT gives a good idea of the life inthe USSR. Very deep and psychological book, and humorous as well... its Russian classics..
